Epilogue

udate2017/I've noticed this blog is now rendered useless because of new photobucket image sharing rules. I hope to recover images sometime in the future.

Hi everybody

Here are pics of minis I've painted over the past months. For multiple reasons I am no longer taking commissions or painting models for now, but this won't be the last update yet. I'd like to thank everyone who have followed this blog and all who have been interested to have me painting for them.

Let the chips fall where they may

There have been lack of updates since I recently moved to another town. Here are some models I have painted for Pulp City last month.

First Jade Hawk designed by Matt (Invader Larb), I hope you like it. Concept is done by Melvin de Voor and sculpt by James Van Schaik:

Another Heavy Metal hero by Van Schaik:

And lemures sculpted by Jarek Smolka:

The last but not the least; zombie kids from Studio Miniatures

Ape and stuff

Harmaa Getto - Peura

Here is a new ARC guerrilla Silverager I painted for Pulp City. Sculpted by Jarek Smolka.

I recently took better pics of some old figures I have painted before starting this blog. These three AT-43 TacArms from Rackham are still some of my personal favourites. I remember concentrating heavily on the zenithal lighting when painting these about three years ago.

I painted my first commission couple months after those. A big bunch of Skarboyz and their transports. (Also the pics are old this time for obvious reasons)

My temporary workspace back then and the villainous little minion of the superlative antagonist cat ^__^

This is for my own Pulp City "shelf", which have been filling up very slowly lately (as the other shelves too..)

Some techno

It's been a while since the last update.. here is the Vector from Pulp City:

I made a simple tutorial to show how the base was made.

Here you can see the materials (textured plasticard is "Modern Cobbles" from Antenociti's, Milliput, piece of 2-3mm thick cork board) and tool (no actual need for all the fancy sculpting tools)

First I draw the round base shape to the back of the plastic sheet, with a mecanical pencil and 20 cent coin (I think this is the best size to fit the top of 30mm lipped base)

Then I carefully cut the shpe with those small scissors. I often use some fine sandpaper to smooth the edges.

For the raised platform I draw part of the base circle and then the blocky shape around it.

Then I glued it to the piece of cork

and roughly removed the excess cork.

Here the platform is glued to the base. It should look like the grid continues in smae level if looked straight from above.

Then just mix some Milliput and fill the empty space below the platform. You can also sculpt the grid to continue on the vertical areas to look like it's made from small cubes. For additional perfection the milliput can be easily sliced, filed and sanded to smooth the scuplting.

Pretty little lightning paw

This is a new mini I recently painted for Pulp City. Her name is Kitty Cheshire and she will be soon accompanied with the Vector. The sculpture is masterfully created by James van Schaik and based on a concept by Melvin de Voor from whom I received some great advice.

Here is something completely different; some birds for the cat to chase (or the other way around..) Well they are not very villainous looking but who knows. They are two peacocks and a peahen produced by a small Alaska based company Forge of Ice and sculpted by legendary Sandra Garrity.

...and more cats ^___^

Cities in dust

This is a scavenger from Mad puppet miniatures with a slight conversion. Call it self-portrait if you want :). I very much like the post-apocalyptic line of minis Edgar Ramos has created, very original and stylish stuff I think.

This is Pulp City Stoner Hawk sculpted by Van Schaik. It's a little experimentation.

Я Слева Сверху

Here are the C.O.R.E. from Pulp City. The mini is sculpted by Jarek Smolka. I tried two different backgrounds when taking the pics but coudn't decide which shows the colours better so I give you both.

This is the beautiful concept art by Liam C.
