I troldskog faren vild

I painted the first half of the dryads after finishing the glade guards. I think the picture above really managed to capture the atmosphere of an ancient enchanted forest. Without the paint pots and other junk in the background this would be how I imagine the mood of the great Athel Loren.

Here's a more practical pic without the photoshop glow:

Update after 65 days

It's been a while since I posted last time. Well it's summer and I've also been busy with a new commission job. This time I have a whole Wood Elf army to build and paint. Yesterday I bacame inspired to make some new art to change the visual look of this blog and I just had to post something new.

I got some new stuff, yay the Pulp City starters finally arrived:

Here is how the paintjobs on some Glade Guards turned out, I still have eleven more these to paint:

The whole lot, another treeman and the warhawk are missing from the pic:

Now this is old stuff I painted some Sarracens at the end of May and I figured out I didn't add them here yet:

Project finished

Today I finished the commission set though I still have to do some base detailing, varnishing and packing but the painting is pretty much done, so here is the last piece:

Here are pics of all the minis I painted for this commission, it took me almost exactly two months, I started in March 17th.

Bloody skullz

I received the resin bases and here is the finished Kharn the Betrayer.

I also painted my first Hasslefree mini, it's the freebie I got during their last summer sale. I practiced painting on white undercoat and the colours came out pretty well though I'm not too sure about the tone of the sleeves...
